Captain Alan A. Arlin's Diary
Captain Alan A. Arlin was a pilot in the 601st Squadron of the 398th Bomb Group during the World War II. While at Nuthampstead England, he kept a diary of his missions, a copy of which he later donated to the 398th Bomb Group Memorial Association. What happened to Captain Arlin and his crew on their missions provides a feel for what happened to all 398th crews either that day or throughout the air war.
