T/Sgt. George W. Forsyth's Diary
Engineer/TT Gunner 602nd Squadron

Foryth's Mission No.
24

20 February 1945
Target:
Nurnberg, Germany

February 20,1945

Well today we flew our twenty-fourth mission. We bombed the city of Nurnberg. We were breaking in a new co-pilot for a new crew and Van Matre our co-pilot flew with his crew. The flak over the target was moderate and accurate. At the front line we got some more flak. It was light and accurate. We had number one oil tank hit and lost about half the oil. All told we got two holes. On oxygen four hours.
