Target – Versailles, France
Date – August 12,1944

We bombed an airfield near Paris. It was a beautiful day and visibility was perfect. I could see the bombs walk across the main runway and into a block of buildings. The flak was light and inaccurate. It had our altitude but was behind, leaving a black string behind us.
