**24 August 1944**
**Target** **Kolleda, Germany**
Target – Kolleda, Germany Date – August 24, 1944 We bombed a large airfield on the outskirts of the city. There was moderate flak but we didn’t get hit. The route in took us into northern Germany and I had my first look at Berlin. There was a heavy flak barrage over the city.
