Target Stuttgart Germany
Date December 9, 1944 We hit the marshalling yards in the center of the city through heavy cloud cover. Bombing altitude 30,400 feet and the temperature was 54 degrees below zero. There was very heavy 88mm flak over the target, but most of it was low. However the 155 mm guns had our altitude and made it very uncomfortable. |
