Dues Process and Contributions

The financial stability of the 398th Bomb Group Memorial Association (BGMA) and it's ability to publish an official newsletter Flak News, relies entirely on the payment of membership dues. There is an annual $20 dues payment or a $100 Life Membership requirement to belong to the 398th BGMA and to receive the Flak News. Exempt from this requirement are spouses of deceased 398th veterans, special contacts such as museums, other 8th AF Bomb Group Associations and a few unique organizational representatives. The 398th BGMA is very proud of the fact that many loyal and appreciative members make additional contributions to support the publication of Flak News and to assure the 398th will continue to exist.

Special Thank You Contributions

There are many reasons why you might want to consider a donation to the 398th Bomb Group Memorial Association. Perhaps you would like to make a contribution to the Flak News, our quarterly, or perhaps you would like to make a donation "in memory of a particular 398th veteran." Perhaps our web page or our group historian provided you information you never knew about a loved one, or maybe it's a way of saying thanks to a great organization, or maybe a way of saying thanks to the 398th for the life skills learned so long ago, or maybe there is another reason why you might feel it appropriate. If you'd like to benefit our organization and its many activities, including research and preservation of what happened during those days of 1944-45, you may make a contribution by sending a check to our United States Dues Manager.

For Contributions from the USA

Tax exempt donations can be made to the 398th Bomb Group Memorial Association as a non-profit 501(C)(3) educational/charitable organization. Donations can be any amount, small or large. Any donation over $20 USD will entitle you to membership and quarterly issues of the Flak News for one year.

More Dues Information

Annual Membership Dues are due JANUARY 1st.

In 2001, the 398th Official Board approved a strict NO DUES - No Flak News - policy. This resulted in the removal of more than six hundred addresses from the Flak News mailing list. Those addresses had never paid or were years behind in dues paying. That policy is now well established and in effect. This procedure is to review the mailing list at least twice a year and remove those that have not paid dues for the past two years. At the present time, those delinquent in dues paying receive a written warning notice before they are removed from the Flak News mailing list.
