William B. Peirce, 0-693884, 2nd Lieutenant, 602nd Bombardment Squadron, 398th Bombardment Group (H), Army Air Force, United States Army. For wound received in action on a bombardment mission in the European area, 19 May 1944. Home address: Ravenwood, Warrenton, Virginia.

Under the provisions of Army Regulation 602-45, 22 September 1945, and pursuant to authority contained in Section I, Circular 32, Hq ETOUSA, 20 March 1944, the PURPLE HEART is awarded to the following-named Enlisted Men.

Nicholas H. Amabile, 32765700, Staff Sergeant, 601st Bombardment Squadron, 398th bombardment Group (H), Army Air Corps, United States Army. For wound received in action on a bombardment mission in the European area, 19 May 1944. Home address: 212 Hopkins Avenue, Jersey City, New Jersey.

Edwin N. Buck, 16088075, Staff Sergeant, 602th Bombardment Squadron, 398th Bombardment Group (H), Army Air Forces, United States Army, for wound received in action on a bombardment mission in the European area, 19 May 1944. Home address: Route #1, Marne, Michigan.
