  3. The Wintersteen Crew flew their first mission on February 20, 1945, Nurnberg, Germany.
  4. Bombardier 2nd Lt. John Workman became sick with spinal meningitis and did not stay with the crew.
  5. Sgt. Donald W. Jillie was wounded on the crew's first mission and did not return to duty.
